CONCEAL/OPEN CARRY COURSE (SDA) $50
Please follow the directions at the bottom of the page!!! Do not take Lake Hellums Rd after it has been raining. It is not graveled! We have you to take Carrier Rd because it is.
Class starts at 8 am and we ask you be here about 7:50 am to get signed in. Lunch of sub sandwiches, chips, water will be provided. You are more than welcome to bring something else to eat and your own drinks. Please dress accordingly for weather. Cost of Class is $50.
For Pistol Classes you will need:
A Pistol (either semi-automatic or revolver) If you shoot with a revolver you can only get licensed to carry a revolver or derringer. If you shoot with a semi-automatic you can get licensed to carry all three.
****** If you bring your own pistol it MUST be in good working order. Unfortunately malfunctioning pistols will slow down the class. You will have to either rent a pistol from us and buy the ammo or come back at another class time to shoot.
Ammo (50 rounds of factory loaded ammunition) We have ammo available at the store
Ear Protection (we can provide)
Eye Protection (we can provide)
Baseball cap, keeps hot casings from getting inside your glasses. Recommended but not required.
Photo ID from the State of Oklahoma (You must have this in order to get your certificate that says you passed the class.) Or if stationed at Vance Air Force Base a copy of your duty or orders or your spouse's duty orders and your drivers license.
Pistols, ear protection, and eye protection are available upon request.
**Pistols available for classes for small rental fee. $10. Ammo is available for sale also.
For our conceal carry classes you will NOT need a holster. We do not practice shooting from a holster as most people don't even know which pistol they want to carry let alone have the conceal carry holster. Also if you come with someone you may share pistols with no problem. The shooting portion of the class evaluates your ability to safely load your gun and shoot your gun. We do not evaluate your ability to hit a bullseye. The State does not require us to and accuracy is something that can be worked on later one.
Directions: Take Carrier Rd 5 miles east of highway 81. Turn north and go one mile. Turn west and go about ¼ mile. Our house is on the north side and address (6226 E Lake Hellums Rd) is on the mailbox. There is a separate driveway for the store which is a red building with our sign on the front. If you have any problems finding our place please feel free to call or text us. 580-231-9835. Also if you use a GPS it might have you a mile off from our house. Look for the address on the mailbox. If it has not rained we are 4.75 miles directly East of highway 81 on Lake Hellums.
